There is a Steam Railway at nearby Heatherslaw, where you can also
see around the working corn mill. The railway takes you to Etal with its famous thatched pub - The Black Bull, and Etal Castle.

The Lady Waterford Hall is an essential place to visit (just across the street!!), to view the extensive work of Lady Waterford, including the murals she painted in the late 1800s.
